Mr. Kenneth E. Foster Jr
#1451768
Starting on July 17, 2023 at Polunsky, Coffield, Powledge, Plane, Garza West, Allred, Clements, Halbert, Robertson, and East Texas ISF units (with remaining sites to follow in the coming weeks), please send all U.S. Mail for inmates to:
Texas Department of Criminal Justice
Inmate’s Full First and Last Name + TDCJ Number (See Above)
PO Box 660400
Dallas, TX 75266-0400
Again, TDCJ is moving to a digital mail platform to reduce the amount of dangerous contraband in its facilities. Mail will now be securely scanned in color and can be saved to personal tablets to be available permanently for inmates to enjoy.
Inmates who do not have a tablet will receive black-and-white printed copies of their correspondence. Legal mail, books, packages, media mail, magazines, and other subscriptions should still be sent directly to the facility, and the process for outbound mail has not changed.
While no single effort can completely stop the transmission of dangerous contraband, we feel that every measure we can take to improve health and safety in the correctional facilities we serve is worth adopting.
You may have questions about TDCJ’s new digital mail platform, so we’ve created a list of frequently asked questions to provide further details.
You can now also contact Kenneth via email on the Securus platform (it has a phone app as well but you MUST be registered with TDCJ). Securus tablets have been distributed in many units, making communication much easier. If you’d like to email Kenneth, please create an account on Securus – Friends and Family (securustech.online)
